The Blackburn Athletics Fund: Igniting Passions
Our Story
In 2017, Jerry Blackburn entered the offices of the Montérégie Youth Center Foundation with a clear idea: to raise $10,000 through a friendly challenge. By November 2017, Jerry and his team had raised $10,330 for the children. As a new gym owner at the time, he had a sincere motivation to help children. He really wanted to make a difference in children’s lives.8 and more, the Blackburn Athletics fund helped over 4,500 children and raised over $850,000
Our Mission
The Blackburn Athletics Fund helps children under youth protection law by providing access to sports activities, sports equipment, and day camps. The financial aid granted allows children to develop, have fun, manage their emotions and anxiety, make friends, and have the same opportunities as other children. We are convinced that giving them access to sports is one of the best ways to help them rebuild their identity and self-esteem.
Our Impact
The goal of this sports-dedicated fund is to help children develop their full potential, give them hope, and improve their physical and mental health. All our challenges, events, and fundraisers have one common objective: to raise as much money as possible for the Blackburn Athletics Fund.
